Mindful Activity Books
Taking a few moments out of the day to keep my brain active, focused and present has been a great part of the day. I take a chair and cup of tea outside, soak up the sun and complete a couple of puzzles.
You can find a few options here.
Routine
Routine has been imperative to my wellbeing this month. I'm sure we have all experience a range of emotions over these past few weeks and waking up knowing how the day is going to look as given me a sense of peace.
Natascha Océane
With the limited movement we've had this month, I've enjoyed alternative forms of movement. I've been starting my morning with Natacha Océane's HIIT sessions and it's really set me up for the day.
Six Tastes
Ayurveda tells us that in order to be satisfied after eating (not reaching for the sweet treats), we must incorporate six tastes into our food:
- Sweet
- Salty
- Sour
- Astringent
- Bitter
- Pungent
With the extra time we've had, I've been working in the kitchen experimenting with ways to include these tastes into meals.
Handstands
My yoga practice this month has been about incorporating fun and playfulness through movement to remind me why I love yoga.
By including tuck jumps and handstands into my practice I've been about to feel light, joyful and free!
