July Favourites

My favourite product, self-help tool, inspo, food/drink and yoga pose of the month. These favourites are an insight into how I personally use ayurveda, yoga and other tools for my own wellbeing. Enjoy!

Magnesium Chloride

An essential mineral, magnesium is commonly deficient among adults.

Benefits include:

- A reduction in stress and a mood stabiliser

- Better sleep

- Regulates muscle and nerve function

Journaling

Journaling can be a great tool in helping make sense of the world we live in.

Try writing down 3 things you're grateful for every morning and see how many more situations and opportunities arrive to be grateful for.

The Holistic Psychologist

Whilst undertaking my ayurvedic training, the professor noted that in the west, 90% of the time, chronic illness comes from the mental tension rather than physical issues. Wow! That was a lot to take in but so relatable.

I recently came across The Holistic Psychologist's IG page and was amazed of her willingness to share her knowledge in order for people to heal. She unpacks trauma and highlights how healing is unique and individual to us all. A philosophy which is promoted by ayurveda too.

Chai Tea

With warming spices, chai is a great way to relieve excess wind in the body. The individual spices work together to remove excess vata out of the body.

Flying Splits (Eka Pada Koundinyasana)

Flying splits requires equilibrium between connecting with the earth and being at one with the air; a reminder that life is all about balance.
